In this tutorial I will show you how to add a you tube video to a wordpress blog post.

Step One

First you need to find the video you wish to add to your wordpress blog on Youtube.

When you have found the video you need to highlight and copy the embed code.

Before you copy the code there are some options to choose.

Click the wheel like icon next to the embed code box like this: Youtube More Options Icon

This will drop down some options.

If the include related videos option is ticked (I think it is by default), untick it. This will stop links to related videos coming up when the video is finished.

Choose the colour that best fits your wordpress blog.

In this tutorial I will teach you how to install the Google XML sitemap plugin on your wordpress blog.

Having a sitemap for your blog is important because it makes it easier for search engines spider and index the pages and posts of your wordpress blog.

Even though the plugin uses the Google name, the sitemap will be used by all search engines e.g. Yahoo, Bing and Ask.

A sitemap is an xml page of links to all the pages and posts on your blog here is the sitemap for Your Blog Builder.

Step One

Make sure your blog is visible to everyone including search engines. This is a very important setting, if your blog is set to block search engines then it will not be indexed by search engines meaning no free search engine traffic  .

To check this click the settings tab in the admin area of your blog then click privacy:

In this tutorial I will teach you how to install an Aweber lightbox hover on a wordpress blog.

I can’t stress how important it is to build a list of potential customers using an autoresponder to collect email addresses. This gives you the power to build a relationship with your readers. Having a list means you can get traffic to your blog almost instantly, make an offer for your product or affiliate to someone else’s.

I would also advise using a paid service such as aweber.

Step One

Sign into your aweber account (If you have more than one list make sure the correct one is showing in Current List).

Select Web Forms then select Create Web Form.

In this tutorial I am going to teach you how to change the permalink structure of your Wordpress blog.

Changing the permalink structure of your wordpress blog will help to optimize it for the search engines. It is very important that the title of each post contains the main keywords you are targeting within the post. Otherwise changing the permalink structure will be of no benefit.

If you don’t know what permalink structure is look at the URL of this post. You will see my domain name, followed by the category name, followed by the post title. By default wordpress gives posts and pages a post id. If I hadn’t changed the permalink structure of this blog then the URL would look something like this yourblogbuilder.com/?p=1.
